If you have ever wanted to know how it feels like to sit in the cockpit and fly a plane, here is your chance. I didn’t know until I started researching for this article that we could try being a pilot for a day! I am terrified of heights, but this sounds exciting even for me. The flight lasts around 30 to 45 minutes depending on weather conditions and you wouldn’t know where you land! Because the balloon can only fly where the wind takes it. No experience or preparation needed you will be on your way up after a 30-minutes briefing. Depending on the weather and air space clearance, the exit point will be from 8,500 feet and higher which means you get to experience free fall for a bit longer compared to a static-line jump. While you enjoy the scenery and the excitement, you will be falling at about 200 km/h while strapped to a highly experienced instructor. Or if it is too scary to jump out of a plane on your own, the quickest way to experience freefall is through a tandem jump or also known as tandem skydiving. Once the parachute is open, the jumper will be guided by the ground instructor, who will direct him/her through walkie-talkies on how to manoeuvre the parachute. You will get to experience a very short free fall before the opening of the parachute is initiated. It is a solo jump, and you will exit the aircraft from 3,500 feet. If you have been thinking of trying out skydiving, you can consider giving static-line jump a go first! The safest type of skydiving, static-line jumping is perfect for beginners since the parachute automatically opens 3 to 5 seconds after the jumper exits the plane. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the adrenaline rush as your feet leaves the ground and you float into the sky. Go on a tandem paragliding experience and find out how it feels like to glide through the open sky! You don’t need any experience in paragliding as you will be strapped to an experienced paragliding pilot who will be doing all the hard work. Just take note that you have to be at least 120cm tall and weight between 30kg and 140kg.
